Library Development’s Wrapped for 2025: our greatest hits!
This year your favorite Continuing Education top 5 was 1. The New Basics of Professional Customer Service, 2. Creating Authentic Relationships, 3. The Healing Library, 4. Advanced Body Language, 5. PCI 20 Stress Management Tools for the Holidays. More than 624,245 items were shared via NC Cardinal Resource Sharing. 94 Continuing Education Scholarships were awarded to NC Library Staff. 151 Public librarians were certified. $17,829,729 was distributed to NC public libraries through the Aid to Public Libraries Fund.
Federal LSTA funds supported 41 local project, #IMLSGrant. 88 library staff gathered to share experiences, tips, and ideas for library programming at Adult Service Forums, 104 public library trustees attended workshops to strengthen their library support skills. Programming kits circulated 26 times (circulation is paused through early 2026). The Library Development Newsletter posted 60 times with news about project and services.
